Gamification has become the Cinderella of buzzwords in elearning these day. Unfortunately, Gamification might just be the most misinterpreted term in the elearning domain. As a result, there is a plethora of solutions tagged under gamification, which are ranging from 3D simulated learning environments to badly designed pedantic quiz games, from learning content embedded inside games or games embedded inside learning content which distribute badges and points like candies. This is all overwhelmingly confusing.
